Howard School grad wins O'Charley's honor

Tyson Jones, a graduating senior at Howard School in Chattanooga, is among a dozen students being honored by the O'Charley's restaurant chain in its annual "Greatest Grad Contest." The award contest, which ran April 16-May 18, allowed O'Charley's guests and fans to nominate anyone who will graduate this year from any educational program at any level.

In five weeks, O'Charley's received more than 2,400 nominations. Jones, a gifted student who recently graduated from Howard, was praised by teachers and fellow students in the contest.

Marc Buehler, president of O'Charley's, said response to the company's contest "was incredible, and the nominations and stories we received were overwhelming."

"It is truly inspiring to read the many stories of perseverance, determination and hard work," he said.
