Kirkland's announced Friday it intends to close its Hixson location. The store at Oak Park Town Center is offering up to 30 percent off store items to clear out excess inventory, according to a company e-mail.
A store employee said there is no date for the closing, but "it was very crowded today, and things are going very fast."
Easter Bunny comes to mall
Hamilton Place mall marks the start of the spring season today by welcoming the Easter Bunny. The Bunny will be ready for children's visits and photos at the lower level of the court area today at 10 a.m. Visits with the Easter Bunny are free and photo packages are available for purchase. "FastPass" visits may be arranged on the mall website.
The Easter Bunny will be at the mall through April 7. The mall will close for Easter on April 8.
