Best adoption employers ranked
The best U.S. employers for providing adoption benefits to their workers include First Horizon Corp., the parent company of First Tennessee Bank; Sanofi, the parent company of Chattem Inc.; Sears Holding Corp., the parent company of Sears and Kmart stores; and Bank of America. The rankings are based benefits available to employees who adopt, such as financial reimbursement and paid leave.
"We know our employees can be the best at serving customers when they have the resources to balance their work and family lives," said John Daniel, head of human resources for First Horizon. "We work hard to provide the tools and benefits to help them achieve that balance."
BlueCross wins tech award
BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee made the InformationWeek 500 - a list of the top technology innovators in the U.S. - for the second consecutive year. The Chattanooga-based health insurer was honored for its member 360 dashboard, which helps consumer advisors provide better service by integrating multiple data sources and applications in real-time. The dashboard allows representatives to easily access a member's medical, dental and pharmacy claims alongside benefits details and case management information on a single screen.
