The Georgia Department of Labor will help the Dixie Group on Wednesday hire about 30 manufacturing workers for its plant in Chatsworth, which makes floor covering for homes and businesses.
The recruitment will be held Wednesday 9 a.m. to noon at the Dalton Career Center, 1406 Chattanooga Ave.
The company is hiring tufting machine and lift-truck operators, along with creelers.
Due to U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, applicants must be at least 18 years old. They must also have a high school diploma, or a General Education Diploma (GED) and at least six months experience.
Dixie will conduct background checks and drug-screening tests on selected applicants.
