State director for Bob Corker moves to new EPB job

Betsy Ranalli, the state director for U.S. Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., who has led the six Tennessee offices for Corker since 2009, will join EPB as executive director of community development on April 6.

In her new job, Ranalli will work with Diana Bullock, EPB's vice president of economic development and government affairs, to enhance EPB's ongoing efforts to work with community leaders and citizens.

Corker praised Ranalli, who he said was one of the first staffers he hired after being elected as U.S. senator in 2008. Corker said Monday she will be succeeded as state director by Brent Wiles, who previously served as a senior adviser for the Senate subcommittee on the Interior, Environment and Related Agencies.

"As one of the finest individuals I've ever had the privilege to work with, I have no doubt that Betsy will be an incredible asset to EPB," Corker said.

EPB President Harold DePriest said Ranalli already is familiar with EPB's mission and has served as the point of connection and coordination between Corker, EPB and other organizations across the state.

Wiles will be based in Nashville and assumes his position with Corker on March 23.
