The Georgia Department of Labor will help two staffing companies, TiDra and Aerotek, recruit more than 80 workers for manufacturing plants located in Calhoun next Monday.
TiDra will be hiring about 80 workers for a textile manufacturer. The recruitment will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Gordon County Agricultural Service Center, 1282 Highway 53 Spur S.W., Calhoun.
TiDra will be hiring inspection, cutting, mixing, molding, sanding and filter press operators, along with material handlers and general laborers. Applicants must have at least three months of experience working in a manufacturing environment. Salaries begin at $9 an hour.
On the same day, the GDOL will host a recruitment for Aerotek at its Rome Career Center. The company will be hiring four production workers for a food processor in Calhoun. Applicants must be computer literate with at least two years of experience working in a warehouse. Salaries begin at $10.25 an hour. The recruitment will be held from 1-4 p.m. at the career center, located at 462 Riverside Parkway.
