Brzezinski keynotes CWLI leadership dinner

Mika Brzezinski, co-host of MSNBC's "Morning Joe" and author of four best-selling books, will be the keynote speaker for the 11th annual IMPACT Leadership Dinner fo the Chattanooga Women's Leadership Institute on Feb. 18 at the Chattanoogan.

Ms. Brzezinski, the daughter of former National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski, began her journalism career in 1991 in Harford, Conn., and joined CBS News in 1997 as the anchor of "Up to the Minute." She become their principal ground zero reporter on the 9/11 terrorist attack in 2001 and was a frequent contributor to "CBS Sunday Morning" and "60 Minutes" before joining MSNBC in 2007. Brzezinski's New York Times bestseller "All Things At Once," offers an honest look at professional setbacks and shares a pragmatic approach to achieving a work-life balance. Her second and fourth books, "Knowing Your Value: Women, Money and Getting What You're Worth" and "Grow Your Value: Living and Working to Your Full Potential," tackle perceptions of value and how successful women today have achieved their deserved recognition and financial worth in the workplace.

"Many women can relate to the numerous challenges of career, family and business," said Julie Brandao, chair of the 2016 IMPACT event for CWLI. "Ms. Brzezinski's tips and techniques will empower women to advocate for themselves and grow their futures for success."

The annual CWLI event opens with a reception at 5:30 p.m. followed by a dinner at 6:30 p.m. Tickets for the IMPACT Leadership Dinner are $65 each.
