Chattanooga's online fundraising venue Causeway announced Thursday it is lauching its third challenge with the question, "How can more opportunities to play make Chattanooga a stronger city?"

A group of community judges will select 10 projects to receive grassroots funding up to $3,000 each to implement their projects. Causeway will begin accepting applications on Oct. 19 for community projects needing funding support at causeway.org/challenge. The deadline for submitting such ideas to Causeway is Nov. 14 and the winners of the grants will be announced Dec. 10 for projects that must be implemented by April of next year.

In an effort to build up new community leaders, Causeway is accepting only applications from individuals and groups, not to formal nonprofits. All projects should be led by Chattanoogans for Chattanoogans, and must deal with issues that are directly affecting the city.
