Shaw Industries, the world's largest carpet maker, announced today the completion of a $40 million expansion to its hardwood production plant in South Pittsburg, Tenn.
The expansion increases the plant's capacity by 60 percent and comes at a time when hard surface sales are generally higher than carpet sales in the U.S.
