These are the top five cities in the Southeast for baby boomers to start a business

Southeast Discovery, a real estate consulting firm specializing in serving Baby Boomers, identified the top five cities in the Southeast for Baby Boomers wanting to start a business.

* Nashville - City boasts nonprofit entrepreneur center and funding for startups, as well as low cost of living

* Chattanooga - City boasts "entrepreneurial attitude," including No. 2 city ranked by Wallethub for access to resources for business, as well at Gigabit-per-second speed Internet offering by EPB.

* Greensboro, N.C. - The city offers a wealth of programs and activities to assist businesses, including the Economic Development and Business Support (EDBS) Office.

* Raleigh, N.C. - Raleigh's Research Triangle is a well-known complex of high tech companies, international corporations and public and private research facilities.

* Greenville, S.C. - City boasts mild year-round weather, plentiful outdoor activities, a thriving restaurant scene and numerous cultural offerings, and also benefits from a robust economy and corporate tax incentives and workforce development programs.
