According to the online financial technology company SmartAsset, the best metropolitan areas for minority-owned businesses are:

1. Seattle

2. Bristol, Tenn.

3. Fayetteville, Ark.

4. Chattanooga

5. Bremerton, Wash.

6. Reading, Pa.

7. Ogden, Utah

8. Santa Barbara, Calif.

9. Fairfield, Calif.

10. Madison, Wisc.
