Husch Blackwell add attorneys Hall, Brown

Husch Blackwell has added attorneys Stephanie Hall and Jake Brown to its Chattanooga office.

Hall came on in January as senior counsel in the Real Estate, Development & Construction group and Corporate, Mergers & Acquisitions & Securities & Corporate Governance practice groups.

She has more than 14 years experience in legal services for facility management and returns to Husch Blackwell after serving as assistant general counsel and then vice president of the legal department of a national facility management and services company.

Hall is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association and was selected for Leadership Chattanooga's Class of 2012. She serves on the financial review committee of Erlanger hospital. Hall is a graduate of the University of Denver, University of Cincinnati College of Law and the University of Tennessee.

Brown joined the Chattanooga office in December as an associate in the firm's Corporate practice group. Brown served as a judicial intern for the Court of Appeal in Uganda in 2014. He is a graduate of the Pepperdine University School of Law and Harding University.

Langan heads beverage, food at lifestyle hotels for Vision Hospitality Group

Vision Hospitality has named Anthony Langan corporate director of beverage and food for the company's lifestyle hotels.

Langan, who has been with Vision for three and a half years, has served in several roles including general manager and director of food and beverage. Langan comes to Chattanooga from his most recent post managing the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Nashville.

Langan also oversaw that hotel's food and beverage operations, including UP, a rooftop lounge. In addition to directing the beverage and food outlets in the company's portfolio of lifestyle hotels, Langan will be overseeing all restaurant and bar operations for Vision's first boutique hotel, The Edwin, slated to open later this year.

"Anthony's prior experience in both operations and the food and beverage departments makes him an excellent fit for this new role," said Reggie Piercy, Vision's senior vice president of operations.

Wilson is VP for Benjamin F. Edwards

The wealth management firm Benjamin F. Edwards & Co. has promoted Julie Wilson to vice president.

As a supervisor for branch services, she is responsible for sales practices and activities of the firm's producing branch managers. Wilson joined the firm in 2012 with more than 30 years of experience in the financial services and banking industries. She holds her Series 7, 9, 10, 66 and insurance licenses.

Founded in 2008, Benjamin F. Edwards & Co. offers an array of financial products, advisory and investment banking services.

Philips, Miller join Reflection Riding

Susan Philips has been hired as the director of marketing and development and Dr. Lawrence Miller has been named executive assistant to the president at Reflection Riding,

Philips previously served as the director of marketing and communications at the Dixon Gallery & Gardens in Memphis.

"It is a great privilege to join the staff and board of Reflection Riding, who envision the many expanded possibilities for this unique natural treasure to educate, entertain and otherwise enrich the lives of residents and visitors of all ages with innovative and engaging experiences," said Philips.

Also joining the staff at Reflection Riding is Miller, who was previously the executive director at the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development at the University of Texas at Austin. Miller began his career as a media producer and instructional technologist. He is a graduate of Humboldt State University, the University of Arkansas and the University of Texas.

Miller will focus on development, including fundraising and grants, at Reflection Riding.

Chamber honors top ambassador, business

The Walker County Chamber of Commerce has named Alicia Moore of Cohutta Banking Company as its 2016 Ambassador of the Year based upon her attendance at chamber events, recruitment of sponsorships and new members, recruitment of new ambassadors and visits and phone calls to assigned persons per the ambassador committee's business plan.

Also recognized were businesses of the year, including winner Southern Hanger Boutique, first runner-up Pie Slingers Pizzeria and second runner-up Flegal Insurance, Inc.

The Walker County Chamber of Commerce named Cindy Scoggins of The Bank of LaFayette as their 2016 Chamber Member of the Year during the 2017 annual dinner at Walker County Civic Center.

Scoggins was instrumental in putting together many of the chamber's most important events in 2016. She assisted with the chamber's small business conference, acted as co-chair of the 2016 gala committee, volunteered at the annual golf tournament and served on the Senior Citizens Day committee.

Ronin joins Memorial as nurse practitioner

Alex Ronin has joined CHI Memorial Medical Group as a nurse practitioner. Ronin received an associate's in nursing from Chattanooga State Community College and completed a nursing bridge program to earn his master's in nursing from Southern Adventist University in Collegedale. He is certified as a nurse practitioner by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Ronin joins Danielle Vandergriff at CHI Memorial Family Practice Associates in Soddy Daisy.
