Today is the final day of Tennessee's Tax-Free Holiday, and I hope as good consumer savvies, readers have taken advantage of the prior two days to save tons of money.
Even if no school-age children reside in our households, we still can save a mint in our checkbooks or on credit cards with this weekend's prices, less our almost-10 percent sales taxes on many purchases.
While Georgia won't be having a sales tax holiday this year, the state is exempting sales taxes on selected clothing, computers, and school supplies on Monday and Tuesday, July 30-31.
