Scottie's On The River is preparing to open next moth adjacent to the SpringHill Suites by Marriott on Cameron harbor along Chattanooga's downtown waterfront.

Chattanooga restaurateur Scottie Bowman, who already owns the Big Chill & Grill on the North Shore and is a partner in Sing It Or Wing It on Market Street, said her newest venture will feature seafood and steak, along with sandwiches, burgers and other entrees.

Nearly 100 employees who will staff the new eatery have been hired and will start training next week in anticipation that the 250-seat restaurant will open June 1.

Scottie's on the River will be open from 11 a.m to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 11 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday, Bowman said.
