Northwest bank welcomes Riley

Northwest Georgia Bank recently hired Kerry Riley as executive vice president-senior credit officer.

"After months of careful scrutiny to find the right fit for our corporate culture, I am extremely pleased to welcome Kerry to the Northwest Georgia Bank family and the Northwest Way," said Scott Smith, the bank's president and chief operating officer. "Although his focus will be on lending, he brings much depth and experience in several aspects of community banking and will be a solid asset to our organization."

He trained for management at Compass Bank in Birmingham, Ala., in 1983, eventually working as a branch manager.
