Kendall Electric has named Doug Brock to manage its Southeast Tennessee and Northwest Georgia locations.

The territory includes the Chattanooga, Cleveland, Tenn., and Dalton, Ga., branches.

Brock worked as an account manager and Rockwell Automation product specialist. Kendall Electric is a wholesale electrical product distributor headquartered in Portage, Mich.


Averitt Express gets honor

Chattanooga-area trucking company Averitt Express was chosen as a "Green 75 Supply Chain Partner" by Inbound Logistics magazine.

The award is based on a company's involvement in three areas: participation in public-private partnerships, corporate sustainability initiatives and collaborative customer-driven projects.

"In our industry, it's vital that we maintain our focus on environmental stewardship and sustainability," said Gary Sasser, Averitt's CEO.


Stock picked at Harbin Clinic

Harbin Clinic has appointed Kenna Stock to the newly created position of executive director effective March 1, 2013.

In the new position, Stock will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Rome, Ga., clinic and will work to ensure all goals, values and financial objectives are met. With more than 25 years of health care experience, she will work to advance the strategic vision of the chief executive and board of managers.

Stock joined Harbin Clinic in 1999 as director of the business office.

"I am extremely confident in Kenna's ability to undertake these new responsibilities knowing how effectively she has led clinic operations for the past 11 years," said CEO Ken Davis.


Shoppes plan December events

The Shoppes at CitiPark will host Holiday Hop 'N Shop, a Christmas shopping event on Tuesday and Dec. 11 and 18 from 4-7 p.m. on the 800 block of Chestnut Street.

The events are free, open to the public and will showcase some of Chattanooga's newest small businesses and the retail transformation of CitiPark.

Go Bagel, Tasty Daylight Donuts, Sewn to the Sky, O.C. Buckels & Co. and Iron Labs make up the stores participating with special discounts, giveaways, raffles, samples, live music, light refreshments and more.


Armstrong Relocation named

Armstrong Relocation in Chattanooga, an agent of United Van Lines, has been cited by the worldwide transportation company for exceptional professional achievement.

Announcement of the recognition, conferred as part of Van Lines' annual awards program, was made by CEO Richard H. McClure during United's 2012 convention in San Francisco.
