Tom Francescon has joined DeMoss Capital Inc., as vice president of private client services.
DeMoss Capital is a fee-only registered investment adviser that takes a holistic approach to financial planning and investment management.
Francescon has been an active member of the Chattanooga community for over 35 years.
He received a degree in business management and marketing from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Most recently, he has worked in the financial services industry. He has worked numerous years in sales and business management, including as an entrepreneur having started several small businesses.
Access America Transport, a Chattanooga-based third-party logistics company, has promoted Jason Provonsha to the position of vice president of sales.
Access America is one of the nation's fastest growing third- party logistics providers. Annual sales are expected to exceed $400 million by year end.
Provonsha formerly held the position of director of business development.
"Jason's work ethic and sales leadership have been instrumental to our success as a company," said AAT President Chad Eichelberger.
Janet Dunn has been appointed as the new president and chief executive officer for the YMCA of Metropolitan Chattanooga.
She brings over 25 years of experience in the YMCA movement, most recently serving as chief operating officer for the Family YMCA of Greater Augusta, Ga.
In that role she was responsible for the daily operations of 13 YMCA branches, three centers, an 86-acre resident camp and the provision of before- and after-school child care in 32 schools.
She also was the membership/program consultant and management consultant for YMCA of the USA, where she provided specialty consulting services to over 11 states within the Southeast.
"We chose Janet because of her 25 years of experience and accomplishments within individual YMCA branches, as well as with the YMCA of the USA as an organization," said Tony Killen, chief volunteer officer for the YMCA of Metropolitan Chattanooga.

James Walton, office manager and client service leader at H&R Block/Wal-Mart, has met the requirements to become an Internal Revenue Service registered tax return preparer.
Walton received the designation by passing a comprehensive IRS examination. By passing the exam and compliance check, Walton may represent his clients before the IRS regarding examinations of returns he prepared.
Barrett Taylor has been chosen to lead the development department for Primary Healthcare Centers in Northwest Georgia.
Taylor has worked for nonprofit agencies in and around Chattanooga for 15 years. During his career, he consulted with more than 30 agencies and raised more than $40 million for capital projects. He has also consulted with many not-for-profit and for-profit businesses in strategic planning, marketing, sales and business development.

Jeff Turner was recently nominated to the Agents Association of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co.
The organization selects members from among 5,500 representatives nationwide and was established to monitor life insurance product development, compensation issues and brokered products, and to provide new product recommendations to the MassMutual home office.
Chattanooga-based Hutton Co. has hired Susan Best as its controller.
She most recently worked for Astroturf in Dalton, Ga. Best was a senior account manager handling job costing, general ledger, financial statements and all aspects of the accounting process for multiple companies, divisions and departments. Prior to Astroturf, she was the controller for MH Asset Management LLC and 12 subsidiary companies in Lakeland, Fla.

Dr. Bill Moore Smith, family medicine physician with the Erlanger Health System, has received the designation of fellow with the American Academy of Family Physicians.
The designation recognizes AAFP members who have distinguished themselves among their colleagues, as well as in their communities, by their service to family medicine and by their professional development through medical education and research. Fellows of the AAFP are recognized as champions of family medicine.
