John Farrimond has been named president and chief executive of Siskin Children's Institute and will begin his new role Jan. 2.
Board of directors President Scott LeRoy said a board-appointed presidential search committee reviewed an impressive pool of potential candidates to fill the president's position.
"He brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, energy and vision to the organization," said LeRoy.
Farrimond has an undergraduate degree from Missouri State University and an MBA from the University of Chicago. Since 2005 he has served as a senior executive at The Help Group in Los Angeles. Founded in 1975, The Help Group is a comprehensive system of schools and programs that serves children with special needs related to autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, ADHD, developmental delays, abuse and emotional problems.
Sally Cooney has joined CBL & Associates Properties Inc. as regional director of leasing.
She will oversee the Cincinnati regional leasing team's efforts and merchandising strategy.
Cooney brings more than 25 years of experience in mall leasing. She most recently served as regional vice president for General Growth Properties in its Atlanta regional office. She has held positions with Corporate Property Investors Inc. and The Taubman Co. Inc.
Decosimo Advisory Services Managing Director Brent McDade and Senior Manager Sharon Hamrick spoke at the Litigation Counsel of America's 2012 Fall Conference & Induction of Fellows last week in Palm Beach, Fla.
McDade and Hamrick co-presented "How to Best Work With a Financial Expert Witness." Their presentation was made to Fellows of the LCA, a highly selective trial lawyer honorary society which represents less than one-half of 1 percent of American lawyers.
Virginia College School of Business and Health in Chattanooga will hold the grand opening of Culinard, the Culinary Institute of Virginia College, on Nov. 15.
The event will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at the campus at 721 Eastgate Loop Road with a ribbon-cutting taking place at 5:15 p.m.
Culinard students can choose to pursue a diploma in culinary arts or pastry arts, both of which can be completed in 36 weeks.
