T.J. Snow marks 50 years

T.J. Snow Co., a local manufacturer and distributor of resistance welders and related supplies, reached the 50-year milestone in business recently.

Founded by T.J. (Jim) Snow Sr. on April Fool's Day, 1963, the company has grown from a one-man operation to over 75 employees. Today it is housed in a 64,000-square-foot climate-controlled facility on 12 acres adjacent to Chattanooga Airport.

Although T.J. Snow Co. now does business on a worldwide basis, with customers in such far-flung locations as Mexico, India and China, it was originally conceived as a small Southeastern sales and service representative for northern manufacturers of resistance welders and related parts and accessories.

Williams, Martin named at firm

Miller & Martin PLLC has named James T. Williams to serve as chairman of the firm's Litigation Department.

In addition, Alison B. Martin will take the role of Chattanooga vice chair.

"We are excited to have James and Alison lead our litigation team as the department continues to grow. Their depth of expertise and dedication to the firm makes them invaluable to the future success of the department," said Jim Haley, chairman of the firm.

Williams concentrates his practice in civil litigation with emphasis on business disputes, insurance coverage and product liability.

Martin concentrates her practice in civil litigation with an emphasis on business litigation.

Watters joins pediatrics group

Jana S. Watters has joined Spring Creek Pediatrics as a nurse practitioner, according to Drs. Stephanie Stegall and Summer Ross.

She graduated from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing in 1995 where she obtained a master's degree in nursing.

She specializes in pediatrics and is a board certified family nurse practitioner. She is married with two children.

Moore picked as marketing director

Marla Moore has been appointed as marketing director at The Coker Group.

For more than 30 years Moore has been actively involved in the automotive aftermarket industry. In that time, she has used her knowledge within the advertising and marketing segments to help advocate on behalf of the industry, working with the Specialty Equipment Market Association.

In 2012, Moore received one of the industry's highest honors by being named SEMA's Person of the Year. She also is chairwoman of the SEMA Businesswomen's Network.

"She lives and breathes the automotive aftermarket and brings a unique perspective," said group President Corky Coker.

Casteel earns career car

Mary Kay independent beauty consultant Liz Casteel of Chattanooga has earned a career car.

Casteel earned the use of a new Chevy Cruze as a result of her achievements in her independent Mary Kay business.

Since the program's inception in 1969, nearly 140,000 independent sales force members have either qualified or re-qualified to earn the use of a Mary Kay career car.

She will take delivery of the new Chevy Cruze, her first Mary Kay career car, at Mountain View Chevrolet.

Fischer ranked No. 1 agent

Robert Fisher, managing director of KW Commercial in Chattanooga, the commercial division of the downtown office of Keller Williams Realty, has been ranked the No. 1 commercial agent in Tennessee and the Southeast region. He received the awards at The Family Reunion Keller Williams convention in Dallas.
