Project: Dunkin Donuts restaurant.

Owner: Bluemont Group, LLC.

Location: 627 Signal Mountain Road.

Size: Just under 2,000 square feet.

Contractor: Jim Mathis with H2OPRUF.

Scope: This new Dunkin Donuts will feature an outdoor patio and will have room for more than 35 people to sit and eat. The store is Bluemont Group’s fourth in the Chattanooga area. The company plans to add two more Dunkin Donuts in Ooltewah and Cleveland after the Signal Mountain restaurant is finished.

Timeline: The restaurant is scheduled to open Sept. 10. Construction should be finished by late August.

History: Dunkin Donuts, a 60-year-old franchise, was in Chattanooga for years before exiting in the 1990s. Bluemont Group led the charge back into the Scenic City in November 2009 and has found a robust market. Nationally, Dunkin Donuts sells more coffee by the cup than any other retailer. The chain also serves donuts, bagels and sandwiches.
