New York Life Insurance Co. has recognized four agents.
Bill Johnson has been named a member of the 2013 President's Council. Members of the President's Council are among the top eight percent of New York Life's elite sales force of 12,250 licensed agents.
Johnson has been a New York Life agent since 1990 and is associated with its Knoxville general office.
Johnson lives in Signal Mountain with his wife, Bennie. Johnson has one daughter, one son, and two grandchildren.
Gary Hathaway has been named a member of the 2013 Quality Council of New York Life. Hathaway has been a New York Life agent since 1987 and is associated with its Knoxville office. Hathaway lives in Chattanooga with his wife, Cathy, and has one son, Anthony.
Sam Clyatt has been named a member of the 2013 Executive Council of New York Life. Clyatt has been a New York Life agent since 1977 and is associated with the Knoxville office. Clyatt resides in Ooltewah with his wife, Susan.
Ron Stansell has been named a member of the 2013 Executive Council. Stansell has been a New York Life agent since 1972 and is associated with the Knoxville office. Stansell lives in Ooltewah with his wife, Ruth. Stansell has a daughter, a son, and a grandchild.
New Years at Noon at the Creative Discovery Museum will take place Tuesday, Dec. 31, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is the only local New Year's Eve party designed specifically for children during daylight hours. Children will learn about the passage of time using activities presented in a child friendly manner. Activities are free with paid museum admission. Visitors are encouraged to arrive no later than 11:30 a.m. for the noontime activities.
Marion Environmental has added Scott Wilson as its senior hazardous emergency response manager to oversee its hazardous response teams.
Wilson has 24 years of environmental experience in managing emergency response, railroad response and remediation projects. Wilson has an environmental engineering degree and brings a wealth of experience to Marion's emergency response department.
Also, the company has appointed Thomas Gallant IV to a newly created executive vice president position.
He will be in charge of the emergency response division and the industrial service division. He will develop both divisions and help implement MEI's expansion plans. Gallant is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and has worked in every department at Marion over the last 12 years.
