CBL & Associates Properties Inc. has promoted Gary Roddy to Vice President-Collections, Tricia Tweedie to Vice President -Billings and Jim Ward to Vice President-Branding.
"These individuals have established themselves as leaders within CBL in their respective fields and the shopping center industry," said CBL President Stephen Lebovitz.
Roddy joined CBL's collections department in May 1985. He is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the company's collections efforts.
Tweedie joined CBL as a maintenance coordinator in January 1988, moving to the billings department in 1990. Under Tweedie's direction, the billings department bills more than 14,500 tenants annually.
Ward originally joined CBL in 1998 as an assistant manager at Hickory Hollow Mall in Nashville. In 1999, he left CBL to attend the University of Cincinnati Law School. After graduating and passing his Tennessee bar exam, he joined the law firm of Husch Blackwell. In 2003, he rejoined CBL as manager of Georgia Square in Athens, Ga. In 2006, he was promoted to director of sponsorship and branding.
Two join J.D. Frost & Co.
Brittany Orr and Amy Thomas have joined J.D. Frost & Co.
Orr is the company's communications and administrative director. She previously was assistant at Northside Learning Center and was a direct support professional at Orange Grove Center.
Thomas is the company's tax manager. She previously was senior tax accountant at Ernst & Young LLP, financial accountant at Environmental Solutions Group, and an experienced tax associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.
Goins named Life Care director
Scott Goins has been named executive director of the Life Care Center of Ooltewah facility under development at 5911 Snow Hill Road.
Goins most recently served as administrator at Grace Healthcare in Chattanooga.
"Scott's previous experiences have perfectly aligned his talents to lead Life Care Center of Ooltewah," said Mike Pigg, vice president of Life Care Centers of America's Cumberland Region, which oversees the Ooltewah facility and nine others in the area. "He is focused on outstanding customer service and resident care as highest priorities."
"It's great to be back with Life Care at this new, state-of-the-art building," said Goins.
Carlson graduates from program
Mary Carlson, a Crye-Leike Realtor, recently graduated from the Realtor Institute Program.
By successfully completing the program, she earned the Graduate Realtors Institute designation, signifying mastery of a specific and intensive program of classroom instruction.
Through the program, sales professionals study marketing, ethics, contracts, finance, agency, technology and other real estate topics.
Garuda marks new site
Garuda Screenprinting will hold a reception at its new location at 149B River St. in North Chattanooga on March 1 from 5-8 p.m.
Original art prints created by Mike Lester, Garuda's proprietor, will be on display, and editions will be available for sale.
Garuda Screenprinting was begun by Ohio native Lester in summer 2011 with the offering of custom screen printing services and working out of a small single-room studio in St. Elmo.
Elder joins AEED
Garrison Elder has joined Advanced Energy Engineering & Design Inc. where he will be a senior mechanical engineer and head up the mechanical department.
He was born and raised in Chattanooga. Elder graduated from UTC with a degree in mechanical engineering.
While finishing school he worked for a local mechanical contractor. From there he and his wife moved to Atlanta where he worked with a mechanical and plumbing firm in Roswell, Ga. In 2006, he moved to Los Angeles. He has moved back to Chattanooga to be with AEED.
Studio 59 Aveda Salon wins honor
Studio 59 Aveda Salon & Spa in Chattanooga was named to the Salon Today 200 by the trade publication Salon Today.
The magazine's 16th annual list of top salons identified salons and spas with the best business practices from applications submitted by readers of Salon Today.
Studio 59 Aveda Salon & Spa, which is owned by Joan and Randy Medley, was honored in the growth category. The business is located at Hickory Valley Road near Shallowford Road in East Brainerd and provides hair care, nail care, skin care, body care and spa treatments. "We pride ourselves in offering our guest a relaxing environment while receiving world class services," Medley said.

Mark Addison and Jim Catanzaro Jr. have become shareholders of Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel.
