Jones promoted at Hutton Co.

Derek Jones has been named vice president of real estate at Hutton Co., according to Geoff Smith, president of the Chattanooga-based company.

In his new role, Jones will lead the Hutton Co.'s nationwide team of real estate professionals. He will oversee client relationships, market analysis, site selection, deal making and other real estate activities.

Jones joined Hutton in 2011 as a real estate acquisitions partner. He has 25 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry.

Laseter passes CPA exam

Emily Laseter, staff accountant with Chattanooga-based accounting firm Johnson, Hickey & Murchison PC, has passed the Uniform CPA Exam, earning the designation of certified public accountant, the firm announced.

"We're very proud of Emily's hard work in completing the 14-hour exam," said Dean Krech, audit partner at JHM.

Laseter, a native of Gallatin, Tenn., earned her master's degree in accountancy at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where she also completed her bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting.

Uptown Vision of Chattanooga will hold its grand opening in its new location Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The business is located in the Miller Brothers Building, 629 Market St., Suite 115.

Crave Cafe & Bakery is a boutique restaurant and catering service specializing in gluten-free meals, baked goods and desserts.

It serves breakfast and lunch daily, with a wide range of lunch items, including soups, salads and sandwiches. Several vegetarian and vegan options are offered daily.
