EMJ Corp. has appointed Chuck McGlothlen as the company's chief financial officer, according to CEO Jay Jolley.
He comes to EMJ from Frontier-Kemper Constructors where he was the CFO and treasurer for over 10 years.
McGlothlen is a seasoned CFO with more than 25 years of experience developing and guiding companies through various stages of growth and acquisition.
He has extensive knowledge in finance, accounting, human resources and information technology with a deep understanding of construction industry operations. He holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Evangel University and an MBA from Notre Dame. He is also a licensed CPA.
McGlothlen is taking over for David Keller, who is retiring from EMJ after 28 years of service.
Natosha Turner has been promoted to business office manager at PM Pediatrics, a Chattanooga after-hours pediatric and convenient care center.
"Tosha's knowledge of the company and her time with PM made her a logical choice for promotion," said Marie Skiwski, director of operations. "She has also been an integral component of bringing our insurance and billing department in-house. Tosha is very versatile and loves every aspect of the medical field."
Turner is a certified X-ray technician and helps providers at PM Pediatrics deliver quality care as a medical assistant.
Turner has been employed with PM Pediatrics for five years.
Jim Miller is opening a new retail location to showcase rare coins, currency, precious metals and numismatic supplies to the public under the name of Fort Oglethorpe Rare Coins LLC, 402 Battlefield Parkway.
His first venture into the coin and currency world was in 1978 when he opened a coin shop in Tullahoma, Tenn. He has owned and operated stores in Goldsboro, N.C.; Statesboro, Ga.; and Pooler, Ga. He most recently managed the retail shop for Southern Precious Metals Exchange in East Ridge.
He has been a contributing editor to several major reference books for the hobby. Most recently he helped with "Early Paper Money of America" by Eric Newman and "National Bank Notes" by Don Kelly.
Nathan Sexton has joined UBS Financial Services Inc. in Chattanooga, according to Jeff Cronan, manager of the city office.
Sexton previously worked with Raymond James in Chattanooga. In addition, he said Sexton will be a member of The Vantage Point Financial Group, one of the signature teams at the Chattanooga office whose members are Scott McDonald, Tom Eddy and Merrill Sexton.
A graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, Sexton studied finance and economics.
