History: Nearly a decade in the making, Cameron Harbor is the largest riverfront development in Chattanooga since the 1980s. Plans were first proposed by an Orlando developer in 2006, but the company filed bankruptcy. Schimpf acquired part of what is now Cameron Harbor in 2007 and announced a development of his own a year later. SpringHill Suites by Marriott opened in 2012, and in 2013, Evergreen Real Estate proposed its portion of Cameron Harbor.

Scope: Cameron Harbor will add about 350 new units to Chattanooga's riverfront, with rents ranging from $800 to $2,000 a month for apartments and cottages selling for $319,500 to $550,00. Townhomes will sell for $1 million to $1.25 million.

Schedule: Phase I (20 houses) are all sold, and will be move-in ready this summer. About half the 26 Phase II houses are sold.
