Under Construction: Slick's Burgers moves to main street

Project: Slick's Burgers.

Location: 309 E. Main St., between Estate of Confusion and Main Line Ink.

Owners: Eric Taslimi and Rob Peterson.

Size: Slick's will be about 2,000 square feet and feature a 1956 Spartan travel trailer retrofitted with an industrial kitchen. It's moving from St. Elmo after failing to secure a long-term lease.

Investment: Around $280,000 for Spartan trailer, new building and accrued costs. Slick's has secured a long-term lease for its Main Street site.

Contractor: Croxall Construction, Chattanooga.

Architect: Surface Architect and Design, Chattanooga.

Engineer: MAP Engineers (civil), Chattanooga; Campbell & Associates (mechanical, electrical, plumbing), Chattanooga.

History: Slick's opened in November 2013 in St. Elmo as a classic burger joint.

Scope: Slick's will feature all the same fare with some new menu items, including select seafood. The site will also have a patio fronting Main Street.

Schedule: Opening in March.
