-- Crye-Leike Tax Credit Seminar: Crye-Leike said it is holding homebuyer tax credit seminar for the public on Thursday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the firm's Hixson Sales Center located at 5870 Highway 153. "As part of its plan to stimulate the U.S. housing market and address the economic challenges facing our nation, Congress passed new legislation that will extend the $8,000 first-time homebuyer tax credit until April 30, 2010," said Crye-Leike Hixson Managing Broker Kathy Tucker. "The new legislation also expands the credit granting up to $6,500 to current home owners purchasing a new or existing home between Nov. 7th, 2009 and April 30th, 2010."
