The Key Fitness Center in Rock Spring, Ga., will host Yo Dog Yo, a spring yoga celebration and fundraiser for McKamey Animal Care and Adoption Center March 19 from 1:30 to 3 p.m.

Key Life yoga instructor Kelly Pierce said her practice of ahimsa, meaning "to do no harm" in Sanskrit, fits McKamey's classification as a no-kill shelter.
"I try to practice that every day in my life, and this is a way to give back to these animals that have nobody," said Pierce, a vegetarian.
Yo Dog Yo's main event is 91 sun salutations, Pierce said, signifying the number of days between the vernal equinox March 20 and the summer solstice June 21.
There is no cost to participate but donations will be taken at the door. Beginners are welcome and a limited number of yoga mats will be provided.
