'Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood' at Creative Discovery Museum

A new show premiering on most PBS stations Sept. 3 will be previewed Saturday at the Creative Discovery Museum, 321 Chestnut St.

"Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood" will use animated characters from the classic "Mister Rogers Neighborhood" to teach lessons that were imparted by Fred Rogers. Airing locally on WTCI, "Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood" will present content that addresses the social and emotional needs of preschoolers.

Saturday's intro to the show, scheduled from noon to 4 p.m., will give visitors a chance to get acquainted with the animated characters in special activities in the atrium. Twenty-minute previews will be shown in the auditorium at 1:30 and 3:30 p.m.

All activities are free with paid admission, $11.95. The museum will be open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. For information, visit www.cdmfun.org or call 756-2738.
