New art at Crossville's Shanks Center

New works by regional artists went on display this week in the galleries housed in the Shanks Center for the Arts, 140 N. Main St., in Crossville, Tenn. Included is this alligator crafted by Corey Legare and her son Forest using wood from a 1940s barn in Big Lick, Tenn. Winter hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursdays, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays (all times Central). Parking is available behind the center at Taylor and Thurman avenues.
