The Athens Community Theater is inviting anyone interested in directing plays or musicals to submit a proposal to the play selection group for consideration in the 2012-13 season.
The all-volunteer company produces a minimum of three productions per year at The Arts Center in Athens, Tenn. Scheduled production dates are in September, February and April. Other theater projects are possible as interest and leadership is presented.
Those interested in directing should assemble a script, rough budget and other pertinent information by April 10.
First-time directors are welcome to submit proposals. Directors chosen for the coming season will be asked to attend a workshop offering instruction on directing as well as policies and procedures of the Athens Community Theater.
