Visitors to Townsend Atelier, 201 W. Main St., on Friday can watch artists in two mediums interpret a portrait using the same live model. In "The Portrait 2 Ways," Mia Bergeron, whose work is depicted at left, will paint in oil, while sculptor Maria Larson, whose work is at right, sculpts in clay. Attendees are welcome to watch the artists work, ask questions and take notes and photographs. Light refreshments will be served. The session takes place from 6 to 9 p.m. Cost is $20.
