The Lee University Theatre will present Agatha Christie's "The Mousetrap" in six performances starting tonight, Oct. 10, on the Cleveland, Tenn., campus.

The story takes place outside London at Monkswell Manor, an aged country home converted into a guest house by a newlywed couple, Molly and Giles Ralston. The first day of business for the Ralstons would be perfect if only there was not a blizzard, five guests with peculiar quirks and a murderer on the loose.

"It has been a lot of fun bringing this classic play to life," says director Tenika Dye, adjunct professor of theater in Lee's Communication Arts Department. " 'The Mousetrap' is a great example of Agatha Christie's ability to craft a thought-provoking story. With complex, interesting characters, the play pulls the audience in and keeps them guessing what will happen to the very end."

"The Mousetrap" has been running continuously since 1952 in London's West End Theatre District, making it the longest-running play in history.

The cast features Lee students Garrett Boyd as Giles Ralston; Naomi Rivers as Mollie Ralston; Evan Pell as Christopher Wren; Kate Bosch as Mrs. Boyle; John Morris as Major Metcalf; Paige Smith as Ms. Casewell; Nathan Tullos as Mr. Paravicini; and Zach Arms as Sgt. Trotter.
