Townsend Atelier, 201 W. Main St., will serve up another Art Throwdown from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, this one between visiting artist Lisa Gloria of Illinois, whose work is represented at left, and local artist Cindy Procious, whose work is at right. In these lively events, the artists go from start to completion in front of an audience, offering their different takes on the same subject, all in the spirit of friendly competition. Both paintings will be auctioned off at the end of the evening. Admission is $15. Light refreshments will be served.
