Eleanor Miller, one of the three artists featured in the September exhibition at River Gallery, "True to Nature," will be on hand for the opening reception, set for 6:30-8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6 (coinciding with Gallery Hop).

All encompass natural themes in the artwork they create. Miller, of Connecticut, offers dreamlike images of the natural world in her oil paintings, such as "Primordial."

Christina Goodman's ultra-miniature acrylic paintings, right, show her devotion to the Italian Renaissance style, and D. Langford Kuhn uses the Florida Everglades as inspiration for the forest and fauna appearing on her hand-painted and embellished porcelain pots, such as "Coneflower & Butterfly."

"True to Nature" continues through Tuesday, Sept. 30. Hours at River Gallery, 400 E. Second St., are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Saturday, 1-5 p.m. Sunday and by appointment.
