River Gallery is throwing a block party, and this one has a twist. From 5 to 7 p.m. today, Feb. 11, visitors can check out newly painted blocks by artist Scott Hill as gifts for Valentine's Day. Hill uses the age-old technique of glazing and vintage wood toy blocks as his canvases. His work has been described as both old-fashioned and sophisticated.
