Ricardo Cortez Morris, director of the the Association for Visual Arts, will be the first guest presenter for a new dialogue series debuting at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, at the Jazzanooga Arts Space, 431 E. M.L. King Blvd.

Called Black Coffee, the monthly series is inspired by the belief, says Jazzanooga co-founder and series moderator James McKissic, that "the best conversations happen over a cup of coffee."

The gatherings will feature free coffee, a guest presentation and conversation meant to grow connections between Chattanooga's communities of color and local arts and culture efforts.
