'Last Comic Standing' competitor performs at Comedy Catch

Dante, a stand-up comic who competed in Season 5 of NBC's "Last Comic Standing" and who holds the record for winning the most BET Comedy Awards, brings his act to The Comedy Catch, 1400 Market St., tonight through Sunday, Aug. 10-13.

Dante has appeared in more than 20 TV shows and films, was a spokesman for Miller Beer and was a writer for the late Joan Rivers on E! network.

Show times are 7:30 p.m. today and Sunday, when tickets are $12. Show times are 7:30 and 9:45 p.m. Friday and Saturday, when tickets are $17.

The Comedy Catch will hold an open mic night on Wednesday, Aug. 16, at 7:30 p.m.

Luke Marter will host the show, at which some of the region's best talent will show up to work on their acts in front of a live audience. The fun is that the audience never knows who will perform until they step onstage.

Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $5.
