Last chance coming up to catch Wayne White exhibit at Hunter Museum

There is still time to catch one of two guided tours of "Thrill After Thrill: 30 Years of Wayne White" before it closes Dec. 30 at Hunter Museum of American Art, 10 Bluff View.

Thursday and Friday, Dec. 28-29, from 2 to 3 p.m. teens from the Museum Apprentice Program at the Creative Discovery Museum will lead tours of "Thrill After Thrill." They will also offer comic-making activities for children of all ages.

Advance registration is not required. This drop-in experience is available to anyone with regular Hunter admission, $15 ages 17 and older. It is free to museum members and CDM members with membership card.

"Thrill After Thrill" is a collection of work by local artist Wayne White, a set designer, art director, puppeteer, sculptor and comic book artist.He won three Emmy Awards for his work on Pee-wee's Playhouse. He also worked on music videos for Peter Gabriel and The Smashing Pumpkins.

The museum is open until 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Please note that it will be closed for regular business on Sunday, Dec. 31. The museum will reopen on Tuesday Jan. 2.
