* Today, March 23: Artist Alex Loza and Hunter curators discuss several works of art in the exhibit "Our America: The Latino Presence in American Art" at 6 p.m. Following the discussion, Loza will do a live drawing demo inspired by the works discussed.

* Sunday March 25: A collective of Chattanooga's refugee and immigrant communities will share their stories about their journeys north to the United States from 1 to 4 p.m. Following the group discussion, guests may visit the exhibit of Latino art.

* Wednesday, March 29: Art of Hope will be offered from noon to 1 p.m. It is open to anyone who has lost a loved one and is seeking a place for reflection and support in a safe space.

The program will take place in front of a painting by George Inness, allowing participants to explore their memories and hopes for the future through art. The Inness piece is "Rosy Morning," an oil on canvas work that was a gift of the Joseph H. Davenport Jr. family to the museum in memory of Laura Voight and Joseph Howard Davenport.

Hunter staff and bereavement counselor Cathy Meyer of Avalon Hospice will guide the session. Participants will be invited to speak, write or draw, but are also welcome to just listen and observe.

Attendance at Art of Hope is free, but registration is requested. Call Cathy Meyer, bereavement coordinator with Avalon Hospice, at 423-892-3737.
