Spectrum, Hunter Museum of American Art's premiere fundraiser, has sold out, according to Cara McGowan, Hunter Museum director of marketing and communications.

The fundraiser includes a cocktail party and silent auction tonight, Nov. 9, and a black-tie dinner with live auction on Saturday, Nov. 11.

"Proceeds help the museum carry out its mission connecting people of every background throughout our community to art and ideas," McGowan says. "Last year's Spectrum helped support the museum's special exhibitions, including 'Our America: The Latino Presence in American Art' and 'Thrill After Thrill: Thirty Years of Wayne White,' as well as numerous educational and outreach programs."

Sponsored by First Tennessee Foundation, Spectrum also helps fund the museum's social and educational programs, and finances the upkeep and growth of the museum's permanent collection.
