The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Performing Arts Series presents "Actors from the London Stage" on Wednesday through Friday, Oct. 25-27, in the UTC Fine Arts Center, 752 Vine St. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. each day.
Hailing from prestigious United Kingdom companies such as Shakespeare's Globe, the National Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company, the five actors of Sir Patrick Stewart's theater company, Actors from the London Stage, will bring Shakespeare to life with their presentation of "Measure for Measure."
First performed in 1604, "Measure for Measure" has themes of justice, mortality and mercy in Vienna. The play focuses on overall justice in an out-of-control attempt by the Duke of Vienna to clean up rampant corruption in Vienna.
Tickets are $30 adults, $25 senior adults and $15 students.
