You might recognize Jen Kober from her guest roles on "The Middle," "Franklin & Bash" and "The Mindy Project." She's in town tonight through Sunday, Sept. 14-17, for six shows at The Comedy Catch, 1400 Market St.

Tonight's show is a benefit for Hurricane Harvey relief. Show time is 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $10. Friday and Saturday's shows at 7:30 and 9:45 p.m. are $16. Sunday night's show is 7:30 p.m., when tickets are $10.

Kober is originally from Lake Charles, La. Her original blend of storytelling and improvised rock-n-roll comedy dares you not to laugh.

She appeared in "Paranoia" with Liam Hemsworth and Richard Dreyfuss, in "Grudge Match" with Robert Deniro and in the riotous "American Reunion" as Ingrid.

Some of the region's best talent will be at the comedy catch on Wednesday, Sept. 20, for open mic night. Doors open at 6 p.m., show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $5.

Hosted and produced by Luke Marter, the show gives local talent the opportunity to work on their acts in front of a live audience.
