"The Last 5 Years," Jason Robert Brown's award-winning show, will be presented in five performances at the Harris Arts Center, 212 S. Wall St. in Calhoun, Ga.

The musical was named one of Time magazine's 10 Best Shows of 2001 and won the 2002 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Music and Lyric. Its film adaptation, released in 2014, starred Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan.

"The Last 5 Years" is an emotionally powerful and intimate story about two New Yorkers in their 20s who fall in and out of love over the course of five years. The show's unconventional structure consists of Cathy, telling her story backward, while Jamie tells his story chronologically. The two characters' versions only meet once: at their wedding in the middle of the show.

Director Jeri Dunn has double-cast the production. Jacob Faile and Lindsey Chambers will play Cathy and Jamie on Sept. 15, 21 and 23. Josh Lance and Abby Wright will play the couple on Sept. 16 and 22. Show time is 7 p.m. for all performances.

Tickets are $15 general admission, $12 senior adults and students, $10 for Harris Arts Center members.
