Sometimes referred to as a modern-day Will Rogers, Chad Prather is known for his way with words. A combination of armchair philosopher, musician and observational humorist, think of him as a fast-talking mash-up of Lewis Grizzard and Jeff Foxworthy.

Prather wraps up a two-day appearance at The Comedy Catch, 1400 Market St., Thursday night, Aug. 23. Tickets for the 7:30 show are $30.

Then, Friday through Sunday, Aug. 24-26, Dusty Slay will be at the Comedy Catch, just a week after doing "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon."

Originally from Augusta, Georgia, Prather now calls calls Fort Worth, Texas, home. He grew up working with horses (an industry in which he is actively involved) and is often recognized by his ever-present cowboy hat or from his rapid-fire online rants from the front seat of his truck. CNN labeled him the "Pick-up Pundit."

Prather has made numerous appearances on Fox News, CNN, A&E, The Blaze, MSN and has been featured in magazines from Southern Living to Nash Country Weekly. He is the host of Ride TV's "It's My Backyard" and "Chad Prather's Comedy Shootout."

His 2016 "Kings of Cowtown Comedy Tour" was a wildly successful hit and his current "Star-Spangled Banter Comedy Tour" is selling out theaters all over America.

Dusty Slay walks audiences through a childhood in the trailer park, his years in the work force and as an occasional blackout drunk.

He's appeared on network shows such as "Jimmy Kimmel Live," NBC's "Last Comic Standing," "Laughs on Fox" and he was a featured comedian on TMZ.

Tickets are $16 for either the 7:30 or 9:45 p.m. shows on Friday and Saturday; $10 for Sunday's show at 7:30 p.m.
