Townsend Atelier is holding a solo exhibit for one of its own: artist and Townsend Atelier instructor Kristin Kendall.

"Re-Define: Works by Kristin Kendall" will be on view weekdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. throughout this month. The public is invited to an opening reception Friday, Sept. 7, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the studio, 301 E. 11th St.

The exhibit includes work with a wide variety of subject matter and mediums, which Kendall has created since moving to Chattanooga two years ago. Once considering herself a traditional portrait artist, the artist has expanded her production to include more conceptual still life and figures.
