The lives of two entertainment icons will be featured in documentaries presented by Chattanooga Film Festival. Both will be shown at First Draft Theater, 1800 Rossville Ave.

"Love, Gilda" will be screened Sunday, Sept. 23, from 8 to 11 p.m. Tickets are $12.

"Love, Gilda" opens a window into the honest and whimsical world of comedian Gilda Radner. Working with the Radner estate, producer/director Lisa Dapolito unearthed a collection of diaries, personal audio and videotapes documenting Radner's childhood, comedy career, relationships and, ultimately, her fight with cancer.

Never-before-seen-or-heard footage and journal entries form the narrative of the documentary, allowing Radner to tell her own story.

The second documentary looks at the life of Joan Jett.

"Bad Reputation" will be screened Wednesday, Sept. 26, at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10.

This film looks at the life of Jett from her early years as the founder of The Runaways to her first meeting with collaborator Kenny Laguna in 1980 to her presence in pop culture as a rock 'n' roll pioneer.
