Wearing her signature polyester stretch pants and bandana-wrapped hairstyle, Etta May returns to The Comedy Catch, 1400 Market St., for five shows Thursday through Saturday, July 25-28.
Nicknamed the Queen of Country Comedy, and winner of Female Stand-Up Comedian of the Year, Etta May appeared weekly on the ABC sitcom "Davis Rules."
She has made appearances on "The Oprah Winfrey Show," NBC's prime-time special "The Comedy Store's 15th Anniversary," ABC's sitcom "Hangin' with Mr. Cooper," "The History Of Country Comedy" on TNN and CMT's "Comedy Stage" and "Redneck Moments." She toured with the Southern Fried Chicks.
Tickets are $12 for Thursday's show at 7:30. Tickets are $18 for either the 7:30 or 9:45 p.m. shows Friday and Saturday.
Thursday night is College Night, when students with a valid student ID get in for $5.
