More than 150 pieces of art will be displayed in Trousdale School's community art show and silent auction, "From My Perspective: An Exhibition for All Artists, Featuring Artists with Disabilities," Thursday, March 7, in Cleveland, Tennessee.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. at the school, 3171 Hewitt St. The silent auction will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. followed by an awards ceremony at 7:15 p.m.

Sarah Bradley, Trousdale School art instructor, says the show will feature artwork in a wide variety of media: paint, drawing, ceramics, photography, wood and mixed media. Proceeds from sales in the auction go directly to the artists.

"The event exists to give local artists, especially artists with disabilities, the opportunity to show and sell their work," she explains.

Bradley says pieces have been contributed by artists from "all over East Tennessee and North Georgia, including Signal Centers of Chattanooga, Life Bridges of Cleveland, Hart Gallery, Trousdale School, Silverdale Baptist Academy, Tyner Academy, Red Bank High School, Lee University, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Walker Valley High School and Cleveland High School."

Bradley says auction prices start at different levels, but all are affordable with many starting bids under $30.

Admission is free and walk-ups are welcome. No reservation is needed.
