Hibachi Grill features broad buffet

The Hibachi Grill and Super Buffet offers diners a variety of fresh entrées, sushi and a hibachi grill full of fresh meats and vegetables.

"Our food is delicious," says manager Tony Chen. "It is all made fresh."

The restaurant is breaking the boundaries of a traditional buffet by introducing a globalized selection of recipes. The restaurant offers hundreds of items from its famous pepper shrimp to cheesecake on the buffet daily. Guests are able to browse through the multicultural selection on the regular buffet as well as visit the traditional hibachi grill and sushi bar.

Recipes change often as chefs respond to customers' demands for their favorite dishes whether they want steak or pepper shrimp. Every day at lunch there are more than 100 entrées on the buffet with everything from Italian, American, Japanese, Mexican and Chinese fare. During holidays, Chen says the restaurant will prepare specialties on the buffet to celebrate the occasion.

The dinner buffet begins at 4 p.m. and presents a larger variety of seafood like salmon and butter shrimp. Students, seniors age 60 and older and military personnel receive a 10-percent discount when dining at the buffet.

"We have a lot of room for private parties for the holidays," Chen says.

The popular restaurant has 50 locations across the country and Chen says guests have welcomed the newest Hibachi Grill in Chattanooga enthusiastically. The restaurant is located in the old Ryan's Steakhouse building near the intersection of Highway 153 and Interstate 75.

The dining room is separated into a main floor with buffet and food stations surrounded by customer seating.

There is plenty of room for large gatherings of friends or family in the regular dining room. However, for special events such as holiday luncheons with coworkers or a family reunion, larger event space is available.

The private room for parties and events can seat more than 200 guests. A party of more than 20 people will receive a 10-percent discount. Chen says there are no reservation or room fees required for guests hosting in-house parties for the holidays and Hibachi Grill can also cater events off-site.
